Uson’s Y-shaped valve is a leak-proof type 3/2 (3-way, 2-position) spring-return shut-off valve that can be piloted pneumatically or electro-pneumatically.
It is used for any pneumatic application in which imperviousness of the circuit needs to be guaranteed, until a maximum test pressure of 10 bar, being employed in vacuum applications too. Pilot pressure should be regulated generally between 5 and 6 bar.
Its compact size, simple design and mechanical robustness confer reliability on this accessory, far above its competitors’ equivalents. If we add on this a minimum maintenance and an adjusted price, we can affirm that this is the leak-proof type 3/2 best valve in terms of quality and price of the whole market.
The principal usages of this valves are the following:
- Execution of two consecutive tests in two different components.
- Connected to the leak tester’s reference, it can be used to change from a reference volume to another, in the event that two different types of parts need to be tested on the production line.
- Deported vacuum. Employed to avoid dirt coming from the component to enter the leak tester during the venting phase (when the depressurization of the tested component produces).
- To avoid the flow restriction in big volume components, these are not being filled through a Y-shaped valve, but only used to depressurise the component at the end of the test.
- Filling of the component before starting the cycle.
- Y-shaped valves in series for testing several components with a single leak tester.
- Filling with multiple Y-shaped valves in series. After, the leak tester testes the different components with an unchained automatic sequence.
- Testing of a component with two chambers to detect possible leaks between chambers.
- Calibration checking with pattern leaks.
